My name is John. Just checking out the site. Pretty cool. I and my wife are custom rodbuilders. Our company is called Ventura Rod and Lure Co. My friend Eric knows my life is about 90% fishing related, the rest is everything else. ANyway he told me about the site and I talked to Mickey a few times about fishing and rods. We are building him a custom rod which is gonna be very unique. Boognish weave perhaps. I will post some pics of it as it comes along.

We do make ultra lights for some of our customers. Mainly saltwater is our game, but we make whatever the customer wants. You can see the Marley weave and other stuff on our website..

We definitely do all kinds of surf rods. We just don't do 1 piece rods over 10' because of space issues...
