I wish I'd have known in April. What VHC? I spoke to a captain named Dale Scott about fishing he seemed real nice. The harbor master gave me his name. Good to know there's troop presence up there. Can you get fresh halibut?

VHC is Valdez Heli-camps, I guide for them. Far as the halibut goes, most my halibut fishing has been in seward, AK but now I am in valdez winter and summer, so I got some exploring to do. Still got a freezer full of halibut from last year.

That's cool- what a job. I skied at Alaska Backcountry Adventures. I know a bunch of folks there- also folks at Rendezvous. I'd love to go back up there and do it again. It's amazing how much terrain there is. Seems like there's a bunch of heli operations. One of my friends is doing some commercial fishing out of Seward late june so I'm hoping he can send me some fresh fish. I think they're going for salmon but the halibut and tuna they can keep for themselves. I need to stock my freezer with some of that fresh AK fish and am happy to pay for it and have it shipped properly. I still salivate thinking about the halibut I had at The Harbor Cafe and that other joint- Fu Kung I believe.
