To start it off, I picked up a 6 pack of Sam Adam's Blackberry Witbier and a 6er of St. Arnold's Fancy Lawnmower, brewed down Hwy. 59 in Houston.
I'd had the blackberry once in a drunken fury at a brewery fest and thought I remembered liking it. It's pretty good, quite refreshing which is nice with this heat today. Just a small hint of the blackberry taste, which is good. I don't generally like the fruit beers but I was feeling brave. Like I said, it's perfect for a hot day.
The St. Arnold's isn't bad at all either, not really my thing but not bad. It's got a nice flavor, just seems a little light. Something I could easily sit in the boat and drink a case of, so I'll have to remember that once I finally get back on the water.
I'm going back to some stronger stuff tomorrow.
