Fishing this weekend?

Fishing this weekend?

Postby Jason » Fri Feb 05, 2010 7:47 pm

Anybody getting out fishing this weekend? I'm heading out on the ice bright and early. I'm hoping to catch some gills and crappie big enough to eat, but really I just need to get out of the fucking house. I'm unemployed right now and spending waaay to much time looking at stupid shit on the interweb.

That sucks. Here in NE we got a bunch in the beginning of Dec and it hasn't melted yet. At this rate we won't have open water until mid March.

Lake Erie is frozen and the trout aren't biting. I might try for some perch Sunday..

Ice fishing is fucking snappy up here in Northern ON, but the gears been put on haitus. We've been , figuratively speaking, walking on thin ice of our own over here. The wife is 5 days overdue about to have our 2nd baby.

I had good luck on Sat. Kept some crappie for dinner tonight. Ice is still 16" around here so I don't think it is going anywhere.

We got 18 inches of white shit on Saturday. Didnt stop me from hitting the Little Lehigh yesterday. Landed three brown trout in 3 hours. San Juan worms and nightcrawlers did the trick.

No fishing this weekend. It has been raining hard all week. Way too much fresh in the systems.
Instead I'm working sat. morning then off to a bucks party complete with topless waitresses and a girl on girl strip show. All at my buddies house. Gunna get fucked Upppp.
It doesn’t matter to us.
