He was my best fishin' buddy

He was my best fishin' buddy

Postby Josh » Thu May 27, 2010 4:25 pm

Our boy Sunny passed this morning around 1 am. at our house. He was 12 years 8 months. Gayle had him from his first breath to his last. He has been with us the entire 11 years we've been together. He had an amazing life filled with walks, camping trips, cross country voyages, skiing, fishing and swimming (his favorite). He never chased fish. He loved getting in trash and having 'poppers'- catching line drive snowballs to the face. He knew many rockers and even went to many Ween shows starting in Vail in 1999. Life won't be the same for a while. Now he's raiding the trash bin in the sky and is reunited with Bubba and Questa. He was the last of a dynasty. Rest well old buddy.

His last day cross country skiing.

Sorry to hear about your dog Josh. I have two that are as much of a part of my family as yours was. Good to see how much fun he participated in over the years!

Ahh damn Josh, I'm sorry to hear it. These dogs become members of our families. We just got a new puppy after 2 years of mourning the loss of Jim. He looks like he was a really good boy.

Thanks for the kind words fellow Troopers it really means a lot. He really did live the life. He had so much stuff between all his beds, toys, a wardrobe of clothing and gear, treats, etc. He pretty much owned and ruined our leather sofa. The last 6 mos he had freshly cooked meat mixed in with his kibble every day.

I'd love to see some pics of your guys four legged buddies. I'm such a sucker for dogs.

Josh, i'm so sorry to hear about Sunny. It sounds like he was a great dog.

I lost my dog to cancer about two years ago and i still miss him every day. I have not got a new one yet mainly because i don't have the time right now to train a puppy so i borrow my sisters dog a lot. She has a yellow lab who just turned 3 and is is a great dog. Here are some pics of her for you.

The is the day she came home.

Here is one of her absolutely hating me for making her wear these.
