My new boat...."Archangel"

My new boat...."Archangel"

I couldn't be more excited to announce the latest addition to the fleet. This is my new 23' Jones Brothers center console fishing machine, "Archangel." This is my dream boat and it will be moored in Belmar, NJ. I should have delivery on the boat in two weeks time, my offer was accepted today.

Congrats on the new addition to your fleet. All it needs now is a BTFS flag!

Awesome boat Mickey.. Looks like a really wide beam for a 23'er.. 8 foot? Should handle the chop
like a champ. Is the motor a 4 stroke?

I have a friend in NH who was looking at a Jones bros. boat which was 18 ft and I think called a Cape.

I hope to be one day on the bow hauling stripers!

Awesome news Mickey. She' a real sea worthy boat for around here. Shallow draft for the back-bays, but a deep hull for the ocean. You'll have her in the water at the perfect time for stripers. Best of luck with the "Archangel"

8.5 foot beam, lots of fishing room for sure. It's the Yamaha HPDI, a great motor, 2 stroke. Motor only has 170 hours on it so hopefully I don't have any problems with it. The boat model is the Cape Fisherman. Me and jim bass are gonna catch our first 50 lb. stripers in it this spring.

Congrats Mickey, damn nice looking boat.

All you need to do now is get it out there and smelling like fish guts.

What time of year is the best striper fishing? What other fish to you target in those waters?
