Sometimes canoeing just doesn't work out.

todays hike up horse butte...the top is red pumice, but as it goes down, it's a rainbow of different colored lavas. right after we started to climb, an inversion came in.

I created this inversion. When I make snow on cold nights using warm water, a blanket of fog covers the valley for miles around. I'll be making snow tonight (my first solo session of the season)Image

Moth and I (and a couple of friends) went on a short hike yesterday around the Dillon Falls area, she has a bunch of great pics she'll be sharing later. I shot this vid on an outcropping over the biggest drop. It's just a few miles South of Bend, one of a series of many major rapids/small waterfalls along several miles of the Deschutes River flowing into town. Lots of awesome overlooks, boulders, and cliffs to fuck around on... as well as plenty of places to just spark one and stare.
